DII ARCHITECTURE

A family of five needs were changing in an 80s ranch walk-out.  The main goal was to create a revamped 1st floor plan that was more functional & spacious.  The owners wanted better flow, a bigger kitchen, and more light.  The largest vaulted ceiling was also requested.

On the first design visit & measurements, we came up w/ a flipped living room & family room idea, while opening multiple openings for new circulation.  An awkward bathroom was moved to an efficient corner location.  This opened up the kitchen & allowed for two large islands.  The material palette was light & uplifting, and counter balanced by walnut stained hardwood & reclaimed barnwood hightlights.  A stacked quartz see-through fireplace is a feature hub that all the spaces can enjoy.  Fast-forwarding to the conclusion of the project, the family has a new day-to-day for their main living spaces of their home.
